Sea to Sky Corridor

Where granite peaks rise from ancient rainforest and glacial fjords stretch to the Pacific. 45 minutes north of Vancouver, a world away from everything.

Why Sea to Sky

The Sea to Sky corridor runs along one of the most dramatic stretches of coastline in North America. Squamish — the heart of the corridor — sits at the base of the Stawamus Chief, surrounded by 3,000+ climbing routes, world-class hiking, ancient rainforest, and a fjord that catches light like nothing else.

It's close enough to Vancouver for convenience but wild enough to feel completely remote. Within a 30-minute drive, you can stand on a mountain summit, at the base of a 335-metre waterfall, on a quiet ocean beach, or deep in old-growth forest.

And because Lana is one of the only elopement photographers in the Sea to Sky who is also a licensed officiant, you get something nobody else offers: one person who plans your ceremony, officiates your marriage, and photographs every moment.

Planning Details

Good to Know

Best Season

Peak season is June through September — long days, warm temperatures, and the best access to alpine locations. But the shoulder seasons (May, October) offer quieter trails, autumn colours, and moody light that photographs beautifully. Winter elopements are possible at lower elevations.

Getting Here

Squamish is 45 minutes from Vancouver and 30 minutes from Whistler via the Sea to Sky Highway (Highway 99). Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is the nearest major airport. We can recommend accommodation in Squamish, including Southside Lodge (our own property).

Marriage License

BC marriage licenses cost $100 CAD, require both partners to apply in person at a Service BC office, and are issued same-day. No residency requirement. No waiting period. We handle the rest of the paperwork.

Permits

Some locations require BC Parks commercial activity permits for ceremonies. We handle all permit applications as part of our planning service — it's included in every package.
